Greystone Country
House is proud to present our latest line of fall-themed handmade
redware pottery!
We are sure you will be extremely pleased
with the look and quality of this new pottery. In 2006, the potter
was selected as one of the "Top
200 Traditional Craftspersons" by "Early American Life" magazine.
"You will love the colonial look and the fact that the pottery
is handmade from start to finish, including being
handthrown - not molded - making each piece unique in it's shape, size
and pattern. The artist is truly remarkable!" says Mary Bline,
Owner of Greystone.
Included in the line is a style of redware called "Sgraffito".
Sgraffito means to scratch, as in scratching a design into the clay. "You
will truly think you are purchasing a 200 year old piece of redware" states
Lisa Sandman, Manager of Greystone. "We are so excited to have
an artist who is knowledgeable in terms of the various types of redware
artistry. I can't wait for our customers to see it in person!"

While most customers purchase our redware for decoration in their
homes, it is food and dishwasher safe! Therefore, you may want to consider
it for your dinnerware!
